So I'm only reviewing the anime and not the manga. The story for now is great. It's a funny concept having Okarun's balls being filled massive power and being take by different spirits and aliens. It sets up good scenarios for fights and laughs. Okarun and Ayase's relationship developing so far in the show has been nice. Their dialouge is great and emotiional moments have been done very nicely.
I love the characters shown off so far. I mean every character is quite odd. With various aliens and spirits they each come with fun quirks. The side characters are also amazing. Jiji is very cool. Airia is my favorite character because although she does talk high and might she always does go in the action sequences handling business. The other characters are just fun and done very nicely. So far we haven't been introduced to a main villian in the show but each of the opponents the main characters have come across have been cool. From Acrobatic Silky's emotional backstory to Evil's also sad backstory. All them hold either emotional value or cool abilties, sometimes even both. Can't forget to mention the goat Sakata, he goated.
The world so far has been developed nicely. There is a no clear construct on the universe. Just vague guidelines which work just fine for the anime. The world expanding with new aliens and spirits open up for more connections and possible alligences. It's all been building up to a point where many storylines can take place. Great worldbuilding so far but it's just getting started.
The music for the show is awesome. So many memorable tracks. The music really fits the wierd world of DanDaDan becoming a big personality trait of the anime. The tracks are very funky and jammy so your ready to watch the gang fight off some of the wierdest creatures you've seen. Also good emotional tracks.
The animation in the anime is great. They really show off with many of the action sequences. It's done to give the characters a lot of personality. It adapts the funny moments very well from the manga. Can see the anime making me like some of the further arcs more just from all the extra factors the anime adds like the animation.
