Mob's story is great from start to end. Mob's progression to achieving his goal becoming a normal person. In the first season you see Teru and Ritsu both jealous of Mob's powerful psychic abilities. He responds to Ritsu by telling how he looks up to him and wishes he was able to be as smart or communicate the way he does.
When Teru tries to fight Mob to prove he stronger Mob is able to defeat him (besides going ???% for the first time) is by pointing out his flaws and how Teru tries to say he is better than others because he has psyhcic powers but really he is just like Mob. If Teru had no powers than he'd have nothing because he powers and Mob exestince proves that to him and shocks him into realzing he is just like anbody else. These two big plot points in season 1 set up the main conflict over arching in the rest of the seasons while stakes becoming bigger and foes change the conflicting viewpoints is what the show centers around.
Mob is initally able to figure this stuff out because of his Master Reigen who teaches him many life lessons albeit while Reigen lies to Mob about being a psychic. Reigen and Mob's connection is amazing in the anime from Reigen protecting Mob in the finale of Season 1 to their fight and reconcillation in season 2 and of course the finale with Reigen revealing he isn't a psychic to Mob to stop Mob from rampaging. It all so well done and emotional with a satisfying end.
The characters in this show are amazing. Mob this boy who is akward but powerful while most people see him as this strong psychic he sees himself unable to live a normal life with friends. His character arc is great and presented in a way where you can see the change across the series. While some shows have characters change kind of suddenly you see every point where Mob learns and is able to get past hurdles to make more friends and live a life he is happier with. Reigen is also a character that I loved. In the first episode they show you he is a con man but he does care about Mob.
The more we go through the first season we see why Mob looks up to Reigen and how he might be lying about be a psychic but gives mob really great advice that Mob usess to evolve. We see Reigens biggest arc when Mob and Reigen get into a fight after laughing at Mob saying he is busy and needs to hang out with friends. Reigen then has to do his work alone. He is able to do it with the clients satisfied but isn't exactly happy. He realizes that he actually is really lonely and not only did Mob need him when they met he needs Mob. Its amazing.
I could talk more but I think you get the jist the characters are great. If i had to give any honorable mentions I think Ritsu and Dimple arcs are also amazing. Also the smaller side characters play their roles very well. I also can't forget to mention the body improvement club, they are great.
The world is built very well. From the start the stakes get higher with stronger opponents ultimately culminating in the finale of season 2. Many different psychics with different ablities are introduced keeping the power system exciting while not complicating it since it really is not complicated at all. From the school to the city every location is used to good use. The settings are never really too important unless they dramtically insane like when they go to space or the town being taken over by Dimple. Yea the world well thought out and used to a capacity where your satisfied and not left asking questions.
Mobs music is very fitting for the show. The one I most remember the battle song when Mob goes 100% or 999%. All the music fits the show really well from the emotinal tracks to the fighting music. The instruments sound really funky and odd with the battle track I'm remembering which fits the style that mob presents. I can't really break down the music so yea I'm gonna leave at that.
The animation is some of the best I've seen ever. The actions sequences are so epic and fluid. Its just amazing to watch. I also remember the comedic moments being aniamted in a fun way which is always great. Though the action never dissapoints with each scene feeling cinematic with it being framed nicely and looking incredible. Again can't really break down the aniamtion too much since is stay fairly similar across the show but thats a compliment.
